THE DEVELOPMENT OF TEACHING MODEL IN CARPENTER SUBJECT FOR GRADE 12 PATHUMRATPITTAYAKOM SCHOOL, PATHUMRAT DISTRICT, ROI ET PROVINCE

Abstract

          The objective of research article was to develop the teaching model in Carpenter Subject.The sample of this research consisted of 56 students grade 12 who attend in Carpenter Subject of Pathumratpittayakom School, Pathumrat district, Roi Et province. The research tool were: 1) Lesson plan with the developed teaching model, 2) learning evaluation form, and 3) posttest. Statistics in analysis data were arithmetic mean, percentage, and E₁/ E₂ efficiency index.

         The research found that the developed teaching model based on four concepts namely: Constructivism, Constructionism, and Instructional for psychomotor domain, and Experimental instruction. The principles of the developed teaching model were children centered link new knowledge with prior knowledge and experiences, group process learning, products construction and exhibition. The teacher acted as the facilitator. The goal of the teaching model was the students be able to create quality product safely and had 21century skills. The developed teaching model included six steps: 1) Study the students’ readiness, 2) Self study, 3) Teacher demonstrate,                 4) Practice according to work sheet, 5) Construct new product, and 6) Display. The IOC efficiency of the developed teaching model evaluated by the five experts was in a very high level. The efficiency from actual instruction of the developed teaching model found that the efficiency of 85.36/80.13which was higher than 80/80 criterion.
