后现代文化语境下美国言情小说的继承与反叛

摘要

20世纪中期的美国社会,当后现代主义思潮席卷哲学、建筑、社会政治和文学批评等众多领域时,小说走下文学圣坛,通俗文学作品成为文化消费商品,而言情小说的创作与发展亦体现出明显的娱乐消费性。梳理从18、19世纪之交的引诱言情小说至20世纪的新女性言情小说的发展历程,可见美国言情小说在20世纪60年代前后新旧交替、传统与反叛糅杂,新哥特 言情、甜蜜野蛮言情和新女性言情依序登场,但这个衍变过程中呈现更多的是对传统的继承和延续,而对当时社会反叛因素的现实观照却明显滞后于时代发展。
