Abstract

This qualitative research aims (1) to study the Amphoe Meuang Tak community context in understanding the environment and to identify the strategic community themes in order to achieve sustainability. (2) to develop a community strategic plan for Amphoe Meuang Tak in order to develop sustainable community economics. The population sample is the education community. The study of the group of community leaders are both official leaders and unofficial leaders of Tak community. The district of Tak is comprised of ten sub districts. As the total population is 20 persons, this research can be summarized as the Amphoe Mueng Tak community strategy for sustainable economic development. Altogether, there were four major strategic issues of importance which are as follows. (1) Promotion of agriculture and natural tourism to build the economic borders and to sustain other strategic issues. (2) Development of education to enhance knowledge for people in the community and youth in order for them to have knowledge in the development of professionalism consistent with the local wisdom of the people. (3) Enforcement of measures to empower communities to be prepared for natural disasters. (4) Support the participation of people in the community to manage the organization in the local area so that the policy guidelines are useful to improve community development and benefit the community.
