Management of Private Higher Education Institutions According to The Concept of Future Work Skills

Abstract

This research used Mixed Method research. The purpose of this research was to study the conceptual framework of management of Private Higher Education Institutions. The research instrument used were content analysis table from 27 documentaries and the questionnaire of the conceptual framework evaluated its appropriateness by 5 experts. The data was analyzed by frequency distribution, content analysis and IOC (Index of item Objective Congruence--IOC). The findings were as follows. (1) the conceptual framework of management of Private Higher Education Institutions Composes of (1.1) curriculum development, (1.2) instructional management, (1.3) student affairs, and (1.4) learning measurement and evaluation. The conceptual framework of future work skills composes of 4 competency domains with 18 key skills including (2.1) personal skills; (2.1.1) agility and resilience (2.1.2) effective oral and written communication (2.1.3) entrepreneurialism and (2.1.4) service orientation, (2.2) people skills; (2.2.1) social intelligence (2.2.2) cross cultural competency and (2.2.3) virtual collaboration, (2.3) knowledge application skills; (2.3.1) sense making (2.3.2) novel and adaptive thinking (2.3.3) cognitive load management and (2.3.4) curiosity and active learning, (2.4) workplace skills; (2.4.1) new media literacy (2.4.2) design mindset (2.4.3) transdisciplinary approaches (2.4.4) computational thinking (2.4.5) critical thinking (2.4.6) complex problem-solving and (2.4.7) judgment and decision making.
