Analyses of Needed Competency for Training and Developing The Baggage Handling System Officer of Airports of Thailand Public Company Limited According to The Resolution Designed by The International Air Transport Association

Abstract

The purposes of this research were (1) to study literature related to the duties of the baggage handling system officer of airports of Thailand public company limited according to the resolution designed by the International Air Transport Association (2) to study the needed competency for training and developing the baggage handling system officer of airports of Thailand public company limited according to the resolution designed by the International Air Transport Association (3) to verify the consistency standards, propriety standards, feasibility standards and utility standards of the competencies of needed competency  for training and developing the baggage handling system officer of airports of Thailand public company limited according to the resolution designed by the International Air Transport Association. The sample group consisted of 287 baggage handling system officers, airports of Thailand public company limited, which were derived from the size of the samples of Krejcie and Morgan. The instrument used in the research was a 5-level rating scale questionnaire created by the researcher reliability value of .962. The statistics used for data analysis were frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation. The research has shown that (1) The duties of the baggage handling system officer of airports of Thailand public company limited according to the resolution designed by the International Air Transport Association there are 5 items: services, security, surveillance, coordination and development (2) The needed competency for training and developing the baggage handling system officer of airports of Thailand public company limited according to the resolution designed by the International Air Transport Association, there are 36 items (3) Results of verification the consistency standards, propriety standards, feasibility standards and utility standards of the competencies of needed competency for training and developing the baggage handling system officer of airports of Thailand public company limited According to the resolution designed by The International Air Transport Association, in term of overall were as the highest levels. When classified as a list, it is found that the highest level in every item.
