Thai Massage Teacher Model: National Health Cultural Heritage

The purposes of this Qualitative research were as follows: 1) To study the desirable characteristics of prototype Thai massage teachers 2) To create a model for human resources development to become a prototype teacher in Thai massage. The results of in-depth interviews with 10 experts in Thai traditional medicine found that 1) the desirable teacher’s characteristics must had teacher's ethics self-discipline develop himself in the professional field and there was good personality professional responsibility kind and attentive encourage learning skills and good habits to disciples to their full potential not skimp on knowledge understand the profession honest in their profession have a teacher's spirit have a far-reaching vision and be fair and accept the opinions of others Including accepting different opinions from teachers together and both disciples Has teaching experience for not less than 10 years and has good knowledge transfer skills. 2) developing personnel to become role model of Thai massage teachers it was raising the standard of Thai massage to international standard develop the existing teacher workforce and new generation personnel to had desirable characteristics had the identity of a prototype teacher they must adjust in teaching to be in line with the current situation and up-to-date at all time they can teach in detail profound balanced both theory and practice it was appreciated that the massage was good the prototype teachers must be assessed according to professional standards according to the regulations of the Thai Traditional Medical Council and was licensed to transfer knowledge in the Thai traditional medical profession in Thai massage.
