The Chinese Antonyms Expression Ability of Kasetsart University Chalerphrakiat Sakhonnakhon Province Campus Students

This Research is a Survey Research Design. The objectives of this research are (1) to study the level of the sample's ability to use Chinese antonyms (2) to study the Chinese antonyms that the sample uses most frequently and least frequently (3) to find ways to develop the sample group’s ability to use Chinese antonyms even further. The sample group is Second year English major Students from Faculty of Liberal Arts and Management Sciences Ku.csc. who chose to study Chinese as an elective subject 50 people and chosen by using a specific sample selection method. The research instrument is a knowledge of Chinese antonyms, the measurement test which is collected and analyzed by using basic statistics. The results of the research found that (1) 58% of 29 people passed the specified criteria but 42% of 21 people, did not pass. The is 22.48 (75%), which does not pass the specified criteria. The S.D. is +-4.93 considered an acceptable criterion (2) the top 5 Chinese antonyms usually used by the sample groups were “来/去”, “买/卖”, “吃/吐”, “快/慢”, And the word “好/坏”. The top 5 least were “输/赢”, “脏/干净”, “远/近”, “肥/瘦”, And the word “深/浅” (3) guidelines for student development are let students practice speaking, doing questions, and organize more competition projects for students.
