Students’ Socially Desirable Characteristics in Schools under Nonthaburi Provincial Administrative Organization

The objectives of this research were (1) to study the behavioral framework of socially desirable characteristics of students in schools under the Nonthaburi Provincial Administrative Organization and (2) to study the current and expected conditions of the development of socially desirable characteristics of students in schools under the Nonthaburi Provincial Administrative Organization The population used in the research included administrators, teachers, committees of basic educational school, and parents of students of schools under the Nonthaburi Provincial Administrative Organization, totaling 34 schools. The sample used in the research consisted of 34 administrators, 176 teachers, 34 committees of basic educational school and 34 parents, a total of 278 people. Data were collected through document analysis and questionnaires. Data analysis using frequencies, percentages, mean, standard deviation and content analyzing. The results of the research showed that: (1) The results of the study of the behavioral framework of socially desirable characteristics consisted of 30 characteristics (2) The results of the study of the current and expected conditions of the development of socially desirable characteristics of students found that current condition of socially desirable characteristics of students with the highest average are patriotism, gratitude, and honesty, with each characteristic having the highest average arranged respectively. The expected conditions of socially desirable characteristics with the highest average are patriotism, gratitude, and public consciousness with each characteristic having the highest average arranged respectively. The socially desirable characteristics can be grouped into 5 that consist of strength, speediness, earnestness, discipline and virtue.
