การทำวิจัยและการใช้สารสนเทศของอาจารย์มหาวิทยาลัยเอกชน

Abstract

บทความนี้ รายงานผลการวิจัยเชิงสำรวจที่ศึกษาอาจารย์มหาวิทยาลัยเอกชนเกี่ยวกับ การทำวิจัยปัญหาการทำ วิจัย การใช้สารสนเทศและปัญหาการใช้สารสนเทศในห้องสมุด ประชากรที่ศึกษาเป็น อาจารย์ที่ทำวิจัยในมหาวิทยาลัย เอกชนในเขตกรุงเทพฯและปริมณฑลจำนวน 689 คน สุ่มตัวอย่างแบบหลายขั้นตอน ได้กลุ่มตัวอย่าง จำนวน 253 คน โดยใช้สูตร Taro Yamane เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยคือ แบบสอบถามที่ผู้วิจัยสร้างขึ้น สถิติที่ใช้วิเคราะห์ข้อมูล คือ ค่าร้อยละ ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน t-test, F-test และ LSD ผลการวิจัยพบว่า ผู้ตอบแบบสอบถามส่วนใหญ่เป็นอาจารย์ เพศหญิง มีวุฒิการศึกษาสูงสุดระดับปริญญาโท มีตำแหน่งอาจารย์ และมีระยะเวลาในการปฏิบัติงาน 1 ปี แหล่งเงินทุน ที่ใช้ในการทำวิจัยมาจากต้นสังกัดให้การสนับสนุน และทำวิจัย 1 เรื่อง ใช้เวลาโดยเฉลี่ย 1 ปี ภาษาที่อาจารย์ใช้ในการ นำเสนอผลงานวิจัย คือ ภาษาไทย รูปแบบการเผยแพร่ผลงานวิจัย คือ บทความวิจัย วัตถุประสงค์ของอาจารย์ในการ ทำวิจัย คือ ได้รับมอบหมายจากหน่วยงานให้ทำวิจัย ผลงานวิชาการรูปแบบอื่นที่นอกเหนือจากการทำวิจัย คือเอกสาร ประกอบการสอน ปัญหาและอุปสรรคในการทำวิจัยของอาจารย์ โดยภาพรวมอยู่ในระดับปานกลาง ส่วนปัญหาการใช้ สารสนเทศอยู่ในระดับเฉพาะด้าน หนังสือไม่เพียงพอต่อความต้องการ คือ หนังสือเก่า ล้าสมัย และ หนังสือไม่สอดคล้องกับ เรื่องที่จะทำวิจัย ตามลำดับ

Conduct of Research and Use of Information by Lecturers at Private Universitie

This paper presents a survey of researching activities and related problems faced by teachers in private universities. The paper also tries to determine how information is used in the libraries and problems related to information use in doing research. Questionnaires constructed by the researcher were applied to the sample group of 253, sampling from 689 teachers in private universities in Bangkok. Statistical techniques used are percentage, standard deviation, t-test, F-test and LSD. Findings show that most subjects are in teaching positions, are female, and hold a master’s degree. They have been working for one year. They accomplished one research topic on average within a year and received funding from their own universities. They report their findings in Thai language and publish them as a research paper in an academic journal. The reason these teachers report for doing the research s that it is a requirement of the university. Other academic work they produced is teaching material. Their problems regarding researching activities is at medium level, while problems related to the use of library materials are at high level, especially the number of books required and the accuracy needed for the research.
