รูปแบบการบริหารงานกิจการนักศึกษาที่มีประสิทธิผล ของมหาวิทยาลัยเอกชนในประเทศไทย

Abstract

การวิจัยนี้ศึกษาสภาพการบริหารงานและประสิทธิผลการบริหารงานกิจการนักศึกษามหาวิทยาลัยเอกชน ในประเทศไทย แล้วเสนอรูปแบบการบริหารงานกิจการนักศึกษา ที่มีประสิทธิผลของมหาวิทยาลัยเอกชนในประเทศไทย ดำเนินการวิจัยแบบผสมผสานโดยสอบถามความคิดเห็นสภาพการบริหารงานกิจการนักศึกษา จากกลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ได้มา แบบเจาะจง ประกอบด้วย ผู้บริหารงานกิจการนักศึกษา จำนวน 22 คนและ คณะกรรมการสโมสรนักศึกษาจาก 3 สถาบัน ๆ ละ 15 คน และใช้กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่เป็นคณะกรรมการสโมสรนักศึกษาจำนวน 135 คนได้จากการสุ่มอย่างง่าย เพื่อตอบแบบสอบถามที่ผู้วิจัยสร้างขึ้น และใช้สถิติเบื้องต้นในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล และวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลที่ได้จากการ สัมภาษณ์เชิงเนื้อหา เพื่อสร้างรูปแบบการบริหารงานกิจการนักศึกษา ผลการวิจัยพบว่า (1) สภาพการดำเนินงานด้าน การบริหารกิจการนักศึกษา มหาวิทยาลัยเอกชนทุกแห่งมีการดำเนินการอย่างเป็นระบบ (2) โดยภาพรวมการบริหารงาน กิจการนักศึกษาประสิทธิผลอยู่ในระดับมาก (3) สภาพการบริหารงานกิจการนักศึกษาส่งผลต่อประสิทธิผลของการ บริหารงานกิจการนักศึกษาทั้ง 9 ด้าน ซึ่งเป็นไปตามวิธีการดำเนินงานตามมาตรฐานการบริหารงานกิจการนักศึกษา ของสำนักงานคณะกรรมการการอุดมศึกษา และกระบวนการบริหารประกอบด้วย การจัดโครงสร้างการบริหารงาน กระบวนการบริหารจัดการ การจัดการทรัพยากรมนุษย์, การบริหารและจัดการทรัพยากรทางการบริหารม (4) รูปแบบ การบริหารงานกิจการนักศึกษาที่มีประสิทธิผลของมหาวิทยาลัยเอกชนในประเทศไทย ประกอบด้วยองค์ประกอบหลัก 2 ส่วน คือ (1) หลักการและแนวคิด (2) วิธีการดำเนินงาน ประกอบด้วย ปัจจัยนำเข้า กระบวนการดำเนินงานและ ผลผลิต

A Model for Effective Student Affairs Administration of Private Universities in Thailand

This mixed method research aimed to examine the nature and the effectiveness of the present practice of student affairs administration at private universities in Thailand. A questionnaire constructed by the researcher was used to solicit opinions from a sample group of 135 students randomly selected from 3 universities. Then an effective model for student affairs administration was proposed and constructed from data gathered from the interviews of a sample of 22 executives and 45 students from 3 universities, which were purposively selected. Findings revealed that: (1) Student affairs administration in all private universities determined their personal vision, objective, philosophy, mission, student’s orientation, students’ discipline, promoting policies for students’ activities, campus cafeteria management, counseling, student scholarship and hygiene. Some private universities provide international student services and dormitories (2) Student affairs administration was found highly effective. Criteria for successful operations were human resource, rules, facilities, coordination, reporting performance and budget; (3) The nature of student affairs administration affected the effectiveness of student affairs administration in 9 standards of Office of the Higher Education Commission. A proposed model for an effective student affairs administration of private universities consisted of two main elements: (1) principles and concepts; (2) procedures composed of inputs, implementation, process, productivity, experience and student development.
