Analysis of the Guitar Techniques in Manhattan Composed by Eric Johnson

Abstract
This article analyzes the concepts and guitar techniques used in the composition, Manhattan by Eric Johnson. The composition contains six sections. The whole composition is approximately 4.50 minutes in length. The analysis shows that the composition uses many techniques, such as the intervals, the extended chords, the minor pentatonic scale, the variations, and the ranges and rhythm. Also, the sound effects, such as the harmonics and slides.
