Development of an Integrated Learning Management Plan for Islamic Studies Utilizing Community-Based Learning at Saiburi Chaengprachakarn School,

Abstract

The objectives of this research and development endeavor are threefold. Firstly, to formulate an integrated learning management plan for the Islamic Studies subject utilizing the community as a foundation for Saiburi 'Chaengprachakarn' School in Pattani Province. Secondly, to assess the outcomes of implementing the integrated learning management plan within the context of community-based learning. Lastly, to explore avenues for extending the impact of the management plan in the integrated learning of Islamic Studies with the community as a cornerstone for six educators. The study employed a voluntary sample selection method, focusing on community-based learning management as a pedagogical strategy linking lesson content to the community. The approach integrates Islamic Studies learning groups within the community and the learners' environment, with an emphasis on fostering critical thinking skills, problem-solving, and experiential learning derived from real-world practices. The assessment is conducted based on real-world conditions with active participation from the stakeholders involved. This paper introduces the concept of community-based learning management, underpinned by theoretical foundations in learning management strategies, measurement, and evaluation. The study findings revealed three key aspects: 1) the development of the learning management plan, employing an integrated community-based curriculum for Islamic Studies, guided by the ADDIES Model encompassing Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation, and Scale-up stages to extend the results. 2) Teachers' capacity to craft a community-based integrated learning management plan for the Islamic Studies subject. 3) The mechanisms for extending the influence of the community-based integrated learning management plan for Islamic Studies, serving as a foundation for educational institutions, comprising three principal facets: 1) Participation mechanism, 2) Community-based learning mechanism, and 3) Integrated learning management for Islamic Studies mechanism.
