Abstract

This study investigated the mediating role of work engagement in the relationship between intrapreneurship and job performance, and the moderating role of perceived transformational leadership in those relationships. Data were collected from 202 medical representatives in Thailand who were working at least 12 months in the current companies. Moderated mediation effects were tested with PROCESS macro. The result demonstrated that work engagement played as a mediating role of the relationship between intrapreneurship and job performance. Moreover, it showed that the relationship between intrapreneurship and work engagement was significantly moderated by perceived transformational leadership. However, perceived transformational leadership was not a moderator of the relationship between intrapreneurship and job performance. The findings illustrated the significant role of transformational leadership on intrapreneurship among medical representatives. Practical implications and future research will be discussed.
