เสรีนิยม สัจนิยม และการศึกษาประเด็นด้านสิ่งแวดล้อมในวงวิชาการด้านความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างประเทศในประเทศไทย

บทคัดย่อ
บทความนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ของการวิจัย 2 ประการ คือ 1) เพื่อศึกษาสถานภาพองค์ความรู้ทางทฤษฎีความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างประเทศ 2 สำนักหลักเกี่ยวกับประเด็นปัญหาสิ่งแวดล้อม อันได้แก่ เสรีนิยมและสัจนิยม และ 2) เพื่อศึกษาประเมินสถานภาพและทิศทางของงานวิชาการที่ศึกษาประเด็นปัญหาสิ่งแวดล้อมในความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างประเทศในประเทศไทยที่ผ่านมา โดยเป็นการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพและใช้วาทกรรมด้านสิ่งแวดล้อมของ John S. Dryzek เป็นกรอบในการวิเคราะห์
ผลการศึกษา พบว่า ประเด็นปัญหาสิ่งแวดล้อมภายใต้ทฤษฎีเสรีนิยม อยู่ภายใต้วาทกรรมการมุ่งแก้ไขปัญหาสิ่งแวดล้อมและความยั่งยืน ส่วนสัจนิยมจะอยู่ภายใต้ 3 วาทกรรม ได้แก่ การมุ่งแก้ไขปัญหาสิ่งแวดล้อม ความยั่งยืน และขีดจำกัดและความอยู่รอด นอกจากนั้น สถานภาพและทิศทางของงานที่ศึกษาประเด็นปัญหาสิ่งแวดล้อมในความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างประเทศในประเทศไทยยังคงอยู่ภายใต้อิทธิพลจากมุมมองของทฤษฎีทั้งสองเป็นสำคัญอันเป็นข้อค้นพบที่น่าสนใจเป็นอย่างยิ่ง
