ประโยชน์ที่ได้รับจากการศึกษาปริญญาเอกทางรัฐประศาสนศาสตร์: การศึกษาเฉพาะกรณี

บทคัดย่อ
การศึกษาระดับปริญญาเอกมีความสำคัญต่อการพัฒนาประเทศเพราะผลิตดุษฎีบัณฑิตที่มีความสามารถในการค้นคว้าวิจัย สร้างองค์ความรู้ใหม่ และใช้ความรู้ในการชี้นำสังคม การวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อตรวจสอบถึงประโยชน์ที่ดุษฎีบัณฑิตได้รับจากการศึกษาในระดับปริญญาเอก และข้อเสนอแนะที่ต้องการให้โครงการปรับปรุงเพื่อให้มีคุณภาพสูงขึ้น โดยกำหนดให้โครงการปรัชญาดุษฎีบัณฑิต สาขาวิชา รัฐประศาสนศาสตร์ คณะรัฐศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยรามคำแหงเป็นกรณีศึกษา ผลการวิจัยพบว่าโครงการดังกล่าวเป็นโครงการที่มีผู้สำเร็จการศึกษาไปแล้วราว 300 คนตลอดระยะเวลา 23 ปีที่ผ่านมา มีดุษฎีบัณฑิตที่ออกไปทำงานอยู่ในภาครัฐ รัฐวิสาหกิจ และธุรกิจเอกชนในภาคส่วนต่าง ๆ ดุษฎีบัณฑิตส่วนใหญ่ได้รับประโยชน์ทางตรงในด้านองค์ความรู้ที่เรียนจากหมวดวิชาหลัก ระเบียบวิธีวิจัย และกระบวนการวิจัย สามารถนำความรู้ไปใช้ในการบริหารงานในระดับต่าง ๆ มีความเข้าใจการบริหารงานภาครัฐและเอกชนมากขึ้น มีทักษะในการค้นคว้าและ การทำวิจัย การใช้ภาษาอังกฤษ ส่วนประโยชน์ทางอ้อมได้แก่ ทักษะในการคิดอย่างเป็นระบบ การประสานงาน การฝึกฝนความอดทน การได้รับความเชื่อมั่นและการยอมรับ การลดอัตตา และมองสิ่งต่างๆได้รอบด้านมากขึ้น ดุษฎีบัณฑิตมีข้อเสนอแนะให้โครงการกระตุ้นและสนับสนุนให้นักศึกษามีโอกาสเขียนบทความทางวิชาการ เพื่อนำเสนอในที่ประชุมทางวิชาการและลงตีพิมพ์ในวารสารทางวิชาการที่มีชื่อเสียงในระดับชาติและระดับสากลให้มากขึ้น
