Peer Review Process

Step 1. Manuscript Submission
Authors begin by preparing their manuscripts according to the Journal format and submitting them through the ThaiJO online system. This system ensures the journal editorial team's smooth receipt, processing, and review of manuscripts. The streamlined process maintains order and consistency, enabling efficient review and publication.

Step 2. Initial Check (1 Weeks)
After receiving the manuscript, the editorial team performs a preliminary assessment to ensure that the submission conforms with the journal's scope and publication standards. Manuscripts that fail to meet these criteria are rejected without further review. Submissions having a similarity index higher than 20% are also rejected at this stage. The editorial team also checks the article's formatting and citation style following the author's guidelines. Manuscripts that do not meet these requirements are sent back to the authors for reformatting and subsequent submission. Following approval, the manuscript proceeds to the review stage.

Step 3. Associate Editor Assignment (1 Weeks)
Following the initial review, the Editor-in-Chief assigns an Associate Editor with relevant expertise to oversee the review process. The Associate Editor identifies and invites at least three competent reviewers with experience in areas relevant to the manuscript’s scope. Subsequent reviewers are invited if the first invites are declined. The average time for this process is one week.

Step 4. Reviewer Invitation and Review Process (4 Weeks)
A double-blinded review system with a minimum of three expert reviewers is used by the journal. Authors' names, affiliations, and email addresses are anonymized by the editor before inviting reviewers. The institutions of invited reviewers should be different from those of all authors. In most cases, this process takes four weeks.

Step 5. Final Decision by Editor-in-Chief (1 Weeks)
The Editor-in-Chief and the Associate Editors, examine the evaluation reports, comments, remarks, and suggestions made by the reviewers. A final decision is made, and it might be any of the following: Accept Submission, Revisions, or Decline Submission. The final decision is informed to the authors through the ThaiJO system. If "Revisions" is chosen, the authors have 3 weeks to turn in the revised manuscript.

Step 6. Typeset and Langauge Correctness(4 Weeks)
After the final manuscript is submitted, it is sent to the Assistant Editor for formatting and article design in accordance with the journal’s guidelines. The authors are required to reply the queries from the language editor and improve any low-quality figures. The corresponding author signs the copyright transfer form on behalf of all co-authors to ensure completion within approximately 4 weeks.
Step 7. Author Proofreading (1 Weeks)
The authors engage in proofreading and ensure language accuracy through a professional editor.

Step 8. Final Corrections and Publication (2 Weeks)
A CrossRef DOI is assigned, and the article is published on the journal’s website. This final stage typically takes 2 weeks.
