Area Based Development Research Journal Announces New Requirements for Thai Abstracts and Author Contributions in 2026
Posted on 2026-02-25To enhance academic rigor, transparency, and international compatibility, starting in 2026, all manuscripts submitted to the Area Based Development Research Journal will be required to comply with two additional editorial standards.
First, Thai-language abstracts must be extended to approximately 800 words. The extended Thai abstract should clearly present the background, objectives, methodology, key findings, and implications of the study, ensuring accessibility for Thai readers while reflecting the full scholarly depth of the article. This requirement complements the journal’s policy on extended English abstracts and supports meaningful knowledge exchange between local and international audiences.
Second, all manuscripts must include a clear Author Contributions statement in accordance with the CRediT (Contributor Roles Taxonomy). Authors are required to specify individual contributions—such as conceptualization, methodology, data curation, analysis, writing, and supervision—to promote transparency, accountability, and ethical authorship practices in line with international publishing standards.
These updates reflect the journal’s ongoing commitment to research integrity, clarity of scholarly communication, and alignment with global academic norms. Detailed guidelines and examples will be provided on the journal’s website to assist authors during submission and manuscript preparation.
The Area Based Development Research Journal looks forward to continued collaboration with scholars and community-based researchers in advancing high-quality, area-based development research.
