Gender and Women Empowerment as Female Buddhist According to Buddhism Perspectives

Women's status in Buddhism was well reaccepted as the female Buddhist. Women are not inferior to men in the role of religious practices in any way. Furthermore, roles of supporting along with practicing of teachings, in fact, female Buddhist assisted Buddhism with foster care since the Buddha’s lifetime until this day. Because Buddhism is open to women in general; they have equality in many ways of practicing. Women must not be framed in any role; they were able to act as the missionary, it does not differ from other men and women as in the teachings. These harmonies all were within the context of Indian society under Brahmanism beliefs. But in Buddhism, Gautama Buddha, and his disciples did not agree with those Brahmanism concepts. Buddhism provided opportunities for women to participate in religious freedom, therefore, leading the disciples to achieve the ultimate goal of teaching as equality.
