Management through the quality system to manage the learning and teaching in world-class standard school, Secondary Level

Abstract

This research has objectives to 1. Study the management process through the quality system according to the criteria for quality award of the Office of the Basic Education Commission, 2. Study the teaching and learning process compared with international standards, 3. Study the students’ attribute which excellence in bilingual, advance in thinking, creative production and responsible to the global society, 4. Study the opinions of problems, needs and suggestions in operating the world-class standard school. The research was a mixture of quantitative and quality data, analyzed by using the statistic, mean and standard deviation. Population is from the world-class standard schools, total 517 schools. Respondents are the director, the deputy director and 2 teachers who are responsible for the management according to the criteria for quality award of the Office of the Basic Education Commission.Total 4 people from each school. The final amount is 2,068 people. Sample group is 200 world-class standard schools. Respondents are the director, the deputy director and 2 teachers who are responsible for the management according to the criteria for quality award of the Office of the Basic Education Commission. Total 4 people from each school. The final amount is 880people.

The result of the research found that 1. The management process through the quality system is in high level 2. The teaching and learning process compared with international standards found that the teachers’ overall performance in world-class standard schools is in high level 3. The students’ attribute which excellence in academics has the mean higher than the national’s mean in every subject. 4. The opinions of problems, needs and suggestions 4.1 Opinions, the management through the quality system was an excellent pattern. 4.2 Problems, the style of work of each school are different. 4.3 Needs, there should be the manual of management through quality system that is easy to understand 4.4 Suggestions, there should be the development of every school to become the world-class standard school.
