BUDDHIST INTEGRATIVE WISDOM TRANSFORMATION MODEL IN BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION

Abstract

This research article has three objectives; 1) to study the states of problem and the transformative processes of intellect in the business administration, 2) to the study the transformative processes of intellect in the Buddhist business administration, and 3) to propose the Buddhist integrated model of the transformative processes of intellect. In this research, the key informants were classified into two groups: three Thai business men whose contexts of business administration were different but being relevant to the research criterion were included and three Buddhist monks who become the ecclesiastic leaders in the administration of the Sangha organization were also chosen. This is a qualitative research.

 The result of this research was found that, the differences in the contexts of business administration the states of problem in the business administration were realized by them through the similar manners. Therefore, they started the business administration through the transformative processes of intellect where their successfulness of business administration is remarkably done through six essential principles: 1) the stakeholders are met with the great amount of required wealth, 2) the staff’s potentiality is enhanced, 3) the safety and economy are built, 4) the clear-cut vision and communication are constructed, 5) the opportunity is quested, and 6) the working systems are appropriately adapted and modernized.

          As far as the study on the integration of Buddhist principles made by the Buddhist monks who become the ecclesiastic leaders of the Sangha administration in Thai society and the Buddhist integrated principles adopted and applied by business men is concerned, it clearly shows that the Buddhist integrated model of the transformative processes of intellect where the business administration is done in the changing states is named as “WISDOM Model”; basically it means that the aforesaid model is assigned to meet the demand of the essential factors: the creation of wealth, building intellect and utilizing wisdom, providing security and economy, communication, finding an opportunity, the creation of suitable system of administration. Those are considered as the dynamic and circle model where they are continually interrelated wherein the sub-wisdom factor and the Buddhist integrated wisdom are intermingled. In the understanding of the collective Buddhist integrated wisdom one can take the sub-wisdom factor into account and then move to the collective Buddhist integrated transformative processes of intellect by which the development is levelled up through the learning gained from ones’ experiences respectively.
