Abstract

This article is the part of Design and development of ornaments of silver-gold niello ware Thai cultural inheritance group, Bang Krang Sub-district, Mueang District, Nonthaburi Province. The objective of this study was to study the specific characteristics of silver niello ware jewelry community groups. Summarize the information obtained, design and develop jewelry in the silver niello. The study found that the outstanding characteristics of the group's niello ware products are exquisite pieces, beautiful and technique of shading, because of the pattern or shadowing that makes the group's niello ware has a dimensional beauty unlike anywhere else. It shows the unique characteristics that are the distinctive features of the community. The researcher combined the data from the study with the current jewelry design data to make a design of a silver niello jewelry set. Then, the design was evaluated by three specialists in niello ware production and three specialists in jewelry design manufacture. Using the results to produce a set of silver niello accessories and evaluate the satisfaction of consumers. The results of the assessment of consumer satisfaction towards the silver niello jewelry set from people in Phra Nakhon district in Bangkok, it was found that consumers had the highest level of satisfaction with the silver niello jewelry set with a mean of 4.61 with a standard deviation of 0.54. The researcher has collected data from the satisfaction assessment results in each issue to present to the community so that the community can further develop the silver niello jewelry products.
