Abstract

The objective of this research: 1. to study the human resource management influence of competitive advantage of small hotel operators. 2. to study the strategic management influences the competitive advantage of the small hotel operators.             The questionnaire was created and developed by the researcher under conceptual framework. According from the data that were gained from 400 samples of the worker in small hotel and guest house (maximum 60 rooms) classified by size of business and region consist of 21 small hotels in Bangkok, 102 in the central region, 72 in the North region, 36 in the Northeast region and 169 The Southern region using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM).            The results were summarized as follows. 1. Human resource management and strategic management processes had a positive influence on the competitive advantage of small hotels. 2. Human Resource Management Component, that was the most important variant Reward process (REW) when the least was Selection Process (SEL) 3. Strategic Management Process Components (DOT) the most important variant was Analysis to determine the strategy. (ANA) and the least was Continuous improvement (CON).
