Abstract
This research is a survey study that integrates both descriptive and correlational approaches. It aims to explore trends, behaviors, and the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) usage in learning. The objectives of this study are: (1) to investigate the level of understanding and readiness of graduate students in using AI for learning; (2) to explore the patterns of AI application commonly used by students; (3) to analyze the impact of AI usage on learning achievement and skill development; (4) to assess students’ satisfaction with the use of AI in learning; and (5) to collect students' suggestions for developing appropriate AI implementation models for graduate-level education. The population of the study consisted of 600 graduate students enrolled in the Master of Education in Educational Administration program at Bangkok Thonburi University. The research instruments were a five-point Likert scale questionnaire and an open-ended response form. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, inferential statistics and content analysis.
The research findings revealed that: 1) the majority of students (74.28%) had a moderate level of understanding of AI; 2) most students (75.12%) used ChatGPT as their primary AI learning tool; 3) the use of AI positively affected learning achievement, with a slight positive correlation (r=0.38) between AI usage duration and learning outcomes; 4) students showed a high level of satisfaction with AI, especially in terms of ease of use (4.70) and content comprehension (4.65); and 5) students suggested that AI tools should provide better Thai language support, improved accuracy, and institutional support for equitable access.
