A Mixture Model of Occupational Therapy Services in Thailand and Application from International Occupational Therapy Practices During the Pandemic of Corona Virus 2019
Main Article Content
Abstract
This study aims to examine the relationship between Occupational Therapy Services in Thailand (OTST) and the application from International Occupational Therapy Practices (IOTP) during the pandemic of Corona Virus 2019 (Covid-19), employing the mixture model approach. The study also aims to investigate the consistency of the relationship model, which includes the developed OTST variables and the IOTP variables during the Covid-19 pandemic. Questionnaires were collected from a sample of occupational therapists (n = 153) who had been providing services during the Covid-19 pandemic. The multi-stage sampling technique was conducted to obtain the sample, and the LISREL 8.8 Student program was used for the data analysis. The findings of this research show a significantly consistent relationship between the OTST and the IOTP. The model is also consistent with empirical evidence, with χ2 = 3.71, df = 5, p = 0.59, χ2/df = 0.97; RMSEA =0.00; SRMR= 0.05; GFI= 0.97; AGFI=0.94. The OTST contributed to the IOTP with β = 0.24 at the statistically significant level of 0.05. Both outcomes reflect the learning and development strategies for Low, Mid, and High technologies. Sustainable applications from international guidelines provide opportunities for telemedicine and online education for Thai occupational therapy practitioners. This leads to the evaluation of the efficiency of the new-normal occupation-based intervention.
