Development of Diffusion Innovation for the Cultivation of Phra Thep Rice Field Crab Species in the Community, Chiang Mai Province
Main Article Content
Abstract
The research aims to 1) develop an innovative multimedia broadcasting method for cultivating the Phra Thep Rice Field crab species in communities; 2) study users’ satisfaction with this multimedia innovation in cultivating the Phra Thep Rice Field crab species; and 3) compare the learning achievements of participants before and after exposure to the multimedia broadcasting innovation on Phra Thep crab species cultivation. The sample was divided into 5 experts, selected through purposive sampling, and 30 users, chosen by random sampling. The research instruments included structured interviews, satisfaction questionnaires, pre-learning tests, and post-learning tests. The statistical analyses used were mean, standard deviation, and t-tests for comparing differences in knowledge scores.
The results revealed that the developed innovation was a multimedia content focusing on the habitat, growth characteristics, and diet of the Phra Thep Rice Field crab species. Expert evaluations indicated the high satisfaction, with an average score of 4.22 and a standard deviation of 0.71. Users’s satisfaction was also high, with an average score of 4.31 and a standard deviation of 0.64. Moreover, the learning achievement before and after using the multimedia innovation revealed that the post-learning average was significantly higher than the pre-learning average at a significance level of 0.05
