Work Motivation Affecting the Organizational Commitment of Support University Employee Rajamangala University of Technology Suvarnabhumi

Abstract

The purposes of this research were to 1) study the level of work motivation of level of work motivation among support staff at Rajamangala University of Technology Suvarnabhumi, 2) study the level of organizational commitment among support staff at Rajamangala University of Technology Suvarnabhumi and, 3) study the influence of work motivation on organizational commitment among support staff at Rajamangala University of Technology Suvarnabhumi. This study employed a quantitative research methodology. The sample consisted of 189 support staff members from Rajamangala University of Technology Suvarnabhumi. Data were collected using a questionnaire. The statistical methods used for data analysis included frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and multiple linear regression analysis.


Research findings revealed that 1) the overall level of work motivation among support staff at Rajamangala University of Technology Suvarnabhumi was found to be at the highest level; 2) the overall level of organizational commitment among support staff at Rajamangala University of Technology Suvarnabhumi was also at the highest level; and 3) Aspects of work motivation—including salary, policy and administration, working conditions, relationships with colleagues, and job security—had a statistically significant influence on organizational commitment among support staff at Rajamangala University of Technology Suvarnabhumi at the 0.05 level.
