Knowledge Management Affecting to Operational Efficiency of Government Officer of the Sub-district Administrative Organization in Trang Province

This research aimed (1) to study knowledge management level of government officer of the Sub-district Administrative Organization in Trang Province; (2) to study operational efficiency level of government officer of the Sub-district Administrative Organization in Trang Province; and (3) to study knowledge management affecting to operational efficiency of government officer of the Sub-district Administrative Organization in Trang Province. A quantitative research approach was employed. A questionnaire was the main instrument for collecting the data. In total, 140 government officers were recruited. The data were analyzed by using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and multiple regression.
The results revealed that (1) the overall knowledge management of government officer of the Sub-district Administrative Organization in Trang Province was at a high level. Interm of ranking each aspect according to the mean from the most to the least, knowledge codification and refinement, learning, knowledge creation and acquisition and knowledge organization, knowledge access, knowledge sharing and knowledge identification. (2) the overall operational efficiency of government officer of the Sub-district Administrative Organization in Trang Province was at a high level. Interm of ranking each aspect according to the means from the most to the least, cost, quantity, time, and quality. (3) knowledge management affecting to operational efficiency of government officer of the Sub-district Administrative Organization in Trang Province at the statistical significance level of 0.05. The research suggestion is that the administrators of the Sub-district Administrative Organization should pay more attention to knowledge management because the increase in knowledge management results in an increased in operational efficiency of government officer of the Sub-district Administrative Organization as well.
