Abstract

The objectives of this research were: 1) to examine the perception of gender diversity equality in the workplace; 2) to explore the perceived career success of gender-diverse employees within the organization; and 3) to investigate the influence of gender equality perception on the perceived career success of employees. This quantitative study utilized a sample of 416 check-in staff at Suvarnabhumi Airport. Data were collected via 416 questionnaires, all of which were completed and returned. Statistical analysis included frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and multiple regression analysis.

The results indicated that the overall perception of gender diversity equality in the workplace was at the highest level. When considering individual aspects, social acceptance of gender-diverse employees ranked first, followed by social equality provided to gender-diverse employees. Similarly, the overall perceived career success was also found to be at the highest level. Multiple regression analysis revealed that the perception of gender equality significantly influenced perceived career success at a 0.01 level of statistical significance, with a predictive power of 49%. The most significant predictor was satisfaction in working with gender-diverse colleagues (β = .51), followed by the provision of social equality to gender-diverse employees (β = .31).

These findings serve as a guideline for formulating policies to promote gender protection, particularly concerning labor rights and freedoms. Organizations can utilize these results to establish equality frameworks that enhance morale and operational efficiency among Aviation Ground Staff. Furthermore, this study provides valuable insights for researchers, academics, and students to further develop specialized knowledge and integrate these findings into future educational contexts.
