A Study of The Semantic Features of The Classifiers used with Parts of Plants in Khmer Language: Education Factor

Abstract

This article aims to study the semantic features used on different parts of the plant in the Khmer language by semantic analysis and the use of classifiers based on the educational sociolinguistic. The population composes 40 people who can be divided into four levels of education including, lower grade elementary, elementary, secondary, and higher education. The study found that the classifiers are applied to different parts of the plant in the Khmer language which most correlated with the morphology of the plant parts. The study also found that a significant applied to different parts of the plant.
