Dhamma Dassana For Propagating Buddhism to Foriegners Of Sudhiro Bhikkhu

Abstract

This research has the objectives; 1) to study DhammaDassana in Theravada Buddhist propagation, 2) Sudhiro Bhikkhu’s Dhamma Dassana for Theravada Buddhist propagation for the foreigners, and 3) to analyze  Sudhiro Bhikkhu’s Theravada Buddhist propagation for the foreigners. The researcher studied form Tipitaka, Buddhist commentaries, books, texts and related research and in-depth interview from four Thai Buddhist monks, three foreign Buddhist monks, and 7 foreign laymen totaling 14, and then presented the descriptive data for and analysis.

The research results were found that Dhamma Dassana in Theravada Buddhist propagations are vision, outlook, and opinion through moderation, scrutiny, and consideration from secular and moral experience with verbal  which is the proper language for the listeners. Nonverbal is well-Buddhist  behavior in proper situation, social context,  potentiality, sense of listeners and appropriate Dhamma with persons to develop their mind.

Sudhiro Bikkhu’s Dhamma Dassana for Buddhist propagation for the foreigners is Buddhist propagation called 3, 2, 4 models. It is Threefold training called Sila, Meditation, and Wisdom. 2 model is consisted of verbal with easy understanding, polite, and nice talking. Nonverbal is consisted of teaching to know, learning by doing, comfortable practice.

Sudhiro’s Theravada Buddhist propagation for the foreigners is held with The Threefold training called Sila, Meditation, and Wisdom trough verbal and nonverbal teaching including teaching to know, learning by doing, and comfortable practice for foreigners and Buddhists. The followers knew the theory of practice, and they properly practice, understand thoroughly to reach result of the enlightenment.
