Networking on Social Space to Mental and Wisdom Development

Abstract

The objectives of this study are to: 1) To develop space and social activities for mental and wisdom development; 2) To develop a creative system for facilitation to mental and wisdom development; and 3) To create a network on social space for mental and wisdom development. This study was the qualitative research based on documents, focus group, participation and action. A group of 18 key informants of focus group discussions and a group of 36 key informants of practice. Data analyzed by descriptive content and the process of creative networks on social space.

The research results rwevealed that

1. The development of space and social activities for mental and wisdom development has the following the processes as: 1) Acquiring knowledge of a Buddhist psychological counseling course for understanding the feeling of others; 2) Linking to the Wat Baan Pracharath Sang Suk project that is a Sangha policy; 3) development of areas with geo-cultural capital in creative areas; and 4) establishment of provincial mental and wisdom development centers for supporting and providing the services to those who experience suffering in their lives.
2. Developing a mechanism system to for facilitative services from the Mind and Wisdom Development Center were divided into three types as: 1) the services in the area for providing activities and regarding Buddhist teaching; 2) Mechanisms for receiving services on radio that provides ideas, advice, principles of belief and various customs; and 3) Mechanism system for receiving services Dhamma in the Garden that is mobilized together with government agencies, private and businesses in Lampang province.
3. Creating a network on a social space to develop mentally and wisdom divided into three types as follows: 1) Creating a network with activities in the area for activities to mobilize the center; 2) Creating a network based on the power of Borvon together with the Sangha, government agencies, private sector and all sectors, it creates a moral community andsupport each other and be reconciled; and 3) Creating a network with a mechanism system that affects the mobilizing of the Mind and Wisdom Development Center, such as mechanisms for promoting knowledge, service mechanism and social networking mechanisms that can help alleviate suffering or solve life problems for those who come to request services in the area.
