The Development of Performance Standards for Documentation of Bankongkhaek School, Mae Chaem District, Chiang Mai Province

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to study problem states concerning the documentary operations for making the performance standards for documentation and to study the results of using performance standards for school documentation. Data were collected by focus group discussion, workshop and appropriate evaluation of using performance standards for documentation. Instrument used was a five rating scale questionnaire. Populations were general service officers, teachers and educational personnel of Bankongkhaek School and Maelu, branch of Bankongkhaek School, for a total of 21 informants. The focus group discussion and workshop were summarized by descriptive analysis; data were analyzed and presented as the composition. The appropriate evaluation of using performance standards was analyzed by using mean and standard deviation.

The research found that the problems of the performance standards for documentation were as follows: there was no performance diagram clearly, the personnel lacked of knowledge and understanding in the documentary performance, there were no personnel to match the job, and there was no criterion of performance standards in order to perform effectively.  

                The results of the development of performance standards for documentation of Bankongkhaek School, Mae Chaem District, Chiang Mai Province, it was found that the development of effective system in all aspects were at a high level.  When considering in each aspect ordering the average from high to low, the importance was the complete component of the performance standards for documentation, the complete of the guidelines for storing, the complete of the guidelines for receiving letters and documents, the scope of the performance standards was appropriate, the performance standards was advantage to the school, and the guidelines of the performance standards in terms of destroying the documents, respectively.
