The Waste Management Efficiency of Phra Nakorn Si Ayutthaya City Municipality

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to: 1) study the opinions to the waste management efficiency of Phra Nakorn Si Ayutthaya city municipality 2) comparative study the opinions to the waste management efficiency of Phra Nakorn Si Ayutthaya city municipality categorized by individual factors. The sample group of this study was 397 people who live in Phra Nakorn Si Ayutthaya city municipality area. Tool of this study were questionnaires. Statistics for data analysis were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test and f-test.

The results of this research found that:

1. Most people were women with age between 46 to 60 years, graduated with bachelor’s degree mostly, 10,001 to 20,000 monthly income, 4 to 5 family members and living in this area for more than 15 years.
2. The opinions to the waste management efficiency of Phra Nakorn Si Ayutthaya city municipality in general was in the high level. And when consideration on each aspect found that the project management of the municipality aspects, the collaboration to the private and public sectors aspects, the hygienic waste disposal aspect and the waste recycle aspect had the high opinions level.
3. The opinions comparison to the waste management efficiency of Phra Nakorn Si Ayutthaya city municipality categorized by individual factors found that people with different sex, age, educational levels, occupations, monthly income, number of family member and living duration in the area had the difference on opinion the waste management efficiency of Phra Nakorn Si Ayutthaya city municipality.
