Guidelines in Sustainable Lodging Maintenance and Environmental Conservation of Wat Phalad, Suthep Subdistrict, Mueang District, Chiang Mai Province

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to: 1) study the background of the concept Guidelines for creating a venue and environmental conservation of Phalad temple, Suthep subdistrict, Mueang district, Chiang Mai province 2) study the utilization of the facilities and environmental conservation in Buddhism of Phalad temple, Suthep subdistrict, Mueang district, Chiang Mai province 3) find ways to sustainably maintain and preserve the environment of Phalad temple, Suthep subdistrict, Mueang district, Chiang Mai province. This research used qualitative research.

The results of this research found that:

1. The construction of Phalad temple appeared in the Phra Chao Liap Lok of Lanna scriptures. There is evidence of the memories and stories passed down from generation to generation by the Lua people. About the importance of the area around Phalad temple both in the form of traditions, culture, local ethnic groups and has passed on that knowledge and belief to the present.
2. Usability in the area is divided into Zone 1, which is the area that welcomes guests, kith and kin, and those interested in Buddhism and do various activities. Zone 2 is the historical site that is the Sangha was area. It is a calm and simple place. It is the residence of monks and novices who perform specific ceremonies in Buddhism, and the third zone is the use of the surrounding area of the temple for public benefit. and is a source of learning about natural resources, wildlife, insects, plant species, as well as art and culture.
3. Guidelines for maintaining the facilities of Phalad temple consist of rituals. Historical learning resources Religious archaeological studies cultural tourism as guidelines for environmental conservation, they include soil conservation. Water conservation Forest conservation and environmental management Managing and maintaining the area within the area of Phalad temple to be clean, elegant, quiet and simple.
