The Integration of Buddha-dhamma Principle in Capacity as a Factor of Self-development of the Prototype Person in Lampang Province

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to: 1) study the process of self-development according to Buddhist principles of prototype persons in Lampang province 2) study the important factors used in self-development according to Buddhist principles of prototype persons in Lampang province 3) study the integration of Buddhist principles as a factor of the personal development of prototype persons in Lampang province. It is qualitative research. Use interviews as a research tool. The target population are monks, local scholars, business operators, government officials, youth, and local leaders in Lampang province, 18 photos/person

The results of this research found that:

1. Process of self-development: The role model person learned how to position themselves to fit in with others according to their status, applied new knowledge to his work, seek income to support their own livelihood, in conjunction a community for organized preparedness system to prevent disasters, build good relationships in the family, and coordinate with others to work together.
2. The important factors used in self-development: The interviewees used the principles of the Pañca-dhamma as a factor in expressing goodwill towards others, used the principle of Vuddhi-dhamma is a factor in improving oneself and taking responsibility for the work being done, used the principles of Sappurisadhama is a factor in planning and preparing together with the community to prevent potential disasters in the community.
3. Integration of Buddhist principles as a factor in the self-development of prototype persons, therefore, it is the integration in Pañca-dhamma principles, which is the elevation of oneself to the level of a good person, it is the integration in Vuddhi-dhamma principles, which is the elevation of oneself to the level of a scholar, and it is the integration in Sappurisadhamma principles, Which is the elevation of oneself to the level of an intellectual.
