The Development of an Academic Administration Model to Enhanc Morality Teaching Monks’ Competency Using Robert M. Gagne’s Techiques in the Saraphi District Group, Chiangmai Province

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to: 1) Study the academic administration conditions for monks teaching morality in Saraphi District 2) Develop an academic administration model 3) Experiment with the academic administration model 4) Evaluate the results of using the academic administration model for monks teaching morality in Saraphi District This is quasi-experimental research. The experimental group consists of 15 monks and 4 social studies teachers, totaling 19 monks/persons in the first semester of the academic year 2024. The instruments used are the academic administration needs questionnaire, consisting of 6 areas and 23 questions; the Delphi Technique model confirmation questionnaire, 38 questions; and the post-test evaluation form for teachers using the teacher model, 10 questions. The statistics used in data analysis include the need index (PNI), the model confirmation using the medium statistic and the IQR statistic, the IOC content consistency value, the Cronbach's alpha reliability value, and the Paired-sample t-test statistic used for hypothesis testing at a significance level of .05.

The results of this research found that:

1. Academic administration conditions for developing monks teaching morality Study of the essential needs (PNI) The highest value is in the aspect of organizing learning experiences (PNI) = 0.459
2. Develop the model with Delphi Technique. The result of the analysis of the IQR value = 0 for all items. The experts have a consensus opinion and confirm that the model is correct.
3. Trial use of the model found that after the training of the monk teachers teaching morality, the average score ( = 4.87, S.D. = .77) was higher than before the training ( = 3.87, S.D. = .55) indicating that the model is effective in developing the monk teachers teaching morality. Significantly at .01**
4. The results of the evaluation of teacher satisfaction after using the model were at a high level. The average ( = 4.33 S.D. = .26).
