Development of Learning Achievement in Foreign Language on Topic of Chinese Vocabulary Pronunciation Using Game Competition Techniques for Mathayomsuksa 1 at Noppitamwitthaya School

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to: 1) develop the learning achievement in the foreign language on the topic of Chinese vocabulary pronunciation using game competition techniques for Mathayomsuksa 1 students at Noppitamwitthaya School 2) study the learning progress on the development of Chinese vocabulary pronunciation achievement using game competition techniques 3) study students' satisfaction or attitude towards learning Chinese language on the development of Chinese vocabulary pronunciation achievement using game competition technique. This research methodology was quasi-experimental research. The population, totaling 151 Mathayomsuksa 1 in the second semester of the academic year 2024 at Noppitamwitthaya School. The samples group consisted of 34 Mathayomsuksa 1 in the second semester of the academic year 2024 at Noppitamwitthaya School. Obtained from simple random sampling methods. Statistics used for data analysis were percentage, mean, standard deviation, class normalized gain and learning achievement.

The results of this research found that:

1. Learning achicvement in Chinese vocabulary pronunciation by using game competition technique of Mathayomsuksa 1 of Noppitamwitthaya School has an average learning outcome of 73.80%, which is in accordance with the criteria set at 70%
2. Learning enhancement on pronunciation of Chinese vocabulary by using game competition techniques for Mathayomsuksa 1 students at Noppitamwitthaya School is 56 % in medium gain.
3. Students’ satisfaction with learning by using game competition techniques, the overall and in aspect, is at a high level ( = 33, S.D. = 0.67).
