Abstract

The objective of this thesis was to analyze love appreciation in INAO written by KING RAMA II. The analysis framework in the study was: love for the person, love for the institution, and love for other things.


            The research found that there were 415 tastes of love in literature appeared in the play, the most were the love for the person as 376 poems, calculated as 90.60%.  Next, there were 31 words dedicated for the institution which was 7.47%, and for the other things, 8 words or 1.93%. 


            In case of love for the person, it could be divided into five categories: 1) love for parents 2) love for child 3) love for relatives 4) love for couple 5) love for friend. The love for institution could be divided into three types: 1) love for King or institution 2) love for people or employee 3) love for homeland. Lastly, the love for other things could be divided into two categories: 1) abstract love 2) material love.  The results were found as 268 words, 64.58% while love in children was 52 words which were 12.53%. Next, love with relatives 41 words, or 9.88%. Love for King or institution was 22 words, 5.30%. Love for friend was 10 words calculated as 2.41%. Abstract love was 7 words or 1.69%. Love in parents 5 words, 1.20%. Love with people was 5 words, 1.20%. Patriotism was 4 words, and love for other things 1 words, 0.24% respectively
