Abstract
This research aimed to 1) study the concept and theory of the religious place conservation
2) investigate the environmental problems on conservation of Phra Dhatu Doi Thum Temple, and
3) propose the guideline for religious place conservation Phra Dhatu Doi Thum Temple of Namprae Subdistrict, Hangdong District, Chiang Mai Province.
The concept and theory of the religious place conservation was the management of physical components surrounding in the religious places such as Phra Dhatu Chedi, Vihara Lanna, Cloister, Stairway Naga, Stairway Granite and Caves.
The problems on Phra Dhatu Doi Thum Temple were about diagram, landscape and land planning.
The guideline for religious place conservation was community participation. It was so important to focus on community and local authorities role on Phra Phatu Doi Thum Temple consevation.
