THE DEVELOPMENT OF AN ACADEMIC MANAGEMENT HANDBOOK FOR EDUCATION FACULTY CHIANG MAI RAJABHAT UNIVERSITY

Abstract
The objectives of this investigation were to develop an academic management handbook based on the Deming Cycle (PDCA) for Faculty of Education, Chiang Mai Rajabhat University, and to examine
the implementation results of the handbook. The population involved in this study included 66 lecturers in six departments of the faculty, namely Department of Physical Education and Recreation, Department
of Psychology, Department of Curriculum and Instruction, Department of Education Techniques, Department
of Early Childhood Education, and Department of Special Education. The research instruments were an in-depth interview about opinions of the respondents on academic work, an assessment of the handbook quality, and an assessment of satisfaction of the respondents with the handbook. The data were analyzed for percentage, arithmetic mean, and standard deviation. The research results were summarized as follows:
- Three features of the handbook quality, including format, contents and implementation, were at
a high level.
2. The overall satisfaction of the respondents with the three features of the handbook, including format, contents and implementation were at a high level.
