Abstract
The study findings revealed that the ritual structures clearly indicated the relationship system of the rituals. The ritual structures were composed of five components, including venue, individuals involved in the rituals, sacrificial items, duration of the rituals, and steps of the rituals. Regarding social structures and functions of the belief and the rituals, it was found that there were three aspects of relationship structures to the residents, namely the power relationship, the kin relationship, and the relationship in the production system and use of natural resources. There were six social functions of the belief and the rituals, conserving natural resources, creating collective unity, health care, livelihoods, creating individual power, and boosting morale.
