The Identities of Lanna People from the Northern Folk Songs Sung by Opchuey Wiangping

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate the identities of Lanna people from the first to the fourth albums with 43 folk songs that sung by Opchuey Wiangping. The tools used in the research were 2 notes taking: an analyze of identities note, and an analyze of function note. The results were reported by descriptive analysis.
The identities of Lanna people found were 8 identities. The outstanding identities are customs, languages, character of Lanna people, Lanna ladies, occupations, places, foods,and music respectively. Furthermore, this study also found that the function of Lanna folk songs contained four types. The outstanding functions were traditions, faith and religion, Lanna people, entertainment, and Lanna people life respectively.
