Development of Thai and English Instructional Material for Community Tourism in Mae Win Sub-district, Mae Wang District, Chiangmai Province

Abstract
The objectives of this study were to: 1) develop Thai and English instruction material for community tourism; 2) compare the achievement before and after learning the instruction material; and 3) investigate participants' satisfaction with the instruction material in order to promote community tourism. The data was gathered through random interviews with staffs from the tourism industry in Mae Win Subdistrict, Mae Wang District, Chiang Mai Province. To meet the objectives, for community tourism, a questionnaire about the requirements was designed, including Thai and English instruction material, competency exams, and evaluation of participant satisfaction. The frequency, mean, and standard deviation of the data were calculated, and the hypothesis was tested using a t-test dependent (Paired Samples t-test).
2) The communication skills for community tourism, both Thai and English, of participants were significantly different than the pre-test before the lessons at 0.05; and 3) Thai and English instruction material for community tourism was determined to have the greatest degree of satisfaction among the participants with regard to the workshop.
