Peer Review Process in the Ganesh Journal

 

Step 1: Submission

The Authors must prepare their manuscripts according to the formatting guidelines specified by the journal and submit the manuscript to the journal through the journal’s online submission system.

 

Step 2: Editorial assessment

The editorial board reviews and filters preliminary manuscripts, a process that takes approximately 7 days.

Accepted upon initial review: The manuscript aligns with the journal's scope, meets formatting requirements, and possesses acceptable publication quality.
Desk Rejected: The manuscript is outside the journal's scope, non-compliant with formatting guidelines, or deficient in quality.

The editorial board will notify the authors of the editorial decision and preliminary revision feedback via the ThaiJO system within seven days.

 

Step 3: Preliminary Manuscript Revision

The authors revised the manuscript in accordance with the editorial board's recommendations and resubmitted the revised version via the ThaiJO system within seven days.

Step 4: Editorial assessment 2

The editorial board reviews the revised manuscript within seven days.

Accepted upon initial review: The editorial board instructs the authors to pay an article processing fee (APC) of 4,500 Baht per article, and to submit the article submission form, the Approval form, the human research ethics approval (in cases involving human data collection).

Rejected: The editorial board notifies the authors to revise the manuscript again.

 

Step 5: Double-blind Peer reviews

The editorial board assigns the manuscript to at least two subject-matter experts for a double-blind peer review, which typically requires 30–40 days.

The evaluation results are classified into four distinct categories as follows:

1. Acceptable for Publication: No revisions are requested by either of the two peer reviewers. However, the editorial board may provide minor recommendations to further improve the completeness and quality of the manuscript.
2. Revise and Resubmit for Re-evaluation: Authors must revise the manuscript in accordance with the reviewers' feedback and resubmit it for a second round of peer review (the re-evaluation process by the reviewers takes approximately 30–40 days).
3. Revise and Editorial Review: Authors must revise the manuscript based on the reviewers' recommendations and submit it for final evaluation by the editor (this process takes approximately 15–30 days, depending on the quality of the manuscript).
4. Reject / Unsuitable for Publication:
    4.1 If one reviewer recommends rejection, the editorial board will invite a third peer reviewer to evaluate the manuscript (this process takes 30–40 days).
    4.2 If both reviewers recommend rejection, the manuscript will be formally rejected for publication.

Note: If the authors fail to revise the manuscript in accordance with the recommendations of both the peer reviewers and the editorial board, the manuscript will be rejected for publication.

 

Step 6: Plagiarism check

Upon approval by the peer reviewers, the manuscript will undergo plagiarism detection using the Akarawisut program.

 

Step 7: Revisions

Authors must thoroughly revise the manuscript in accordance with the feedback from all peer reviewers, as well as the recommendations of the editorial board. Subsequently, the revised manuscript must be submitted via the online journal management system under the section "Revisions," accompanied by a revision summary form uploaded in the "Review Discussions" section, within 15 days.

Step 8: Evaluates

The editor evaluates the revised manuscript (taking 15 days) or resubmits it to the peer reviewers for re-evaluation if requested by the reviewers (taking 30–40 days). Concurrently, the English abstract will be forwarded to an English language expert for proofreading.

 

Step 9: Editorial Decision and Publication

Acceptance & Verification: The journal issues the official acceptance letter, and authors must verify the final accuracy of their manuscript within 7 days.

Galley Proof & Online Publication: The editorial board prepares the publication layout (galley proof) and sends it to the authors for final confirmation within 15-30 days prior to online publication.

Proof Reading: Proofread by the Editorial Board within 15 days.

Online Publication: The article will be published online on the journal’s website.
