Abstract

The purposes of this article aimed 1) to study theatrical approach of His majesty King Rama VI, its relevance in human development and 21st century skills, and 2) to study the genius of King Rama VI through his drama works accord the human development and 21st century skills. Document analysis was the opted method of the study. The results revealed that the drama created by King Rama VI had used theatrical approaches like “The plot for performance” and “Dumb Crambo”. Both could help human development accord the way to develop people in 21st century in Learning and Innovation Skills which consisted of; Critical Thinking and Creative Problem Solving, Creativity, Communication and Collaboration. The genius of King Rama VI through the drama works accord the development of human in the 21st century portrayed his in-depth knowledge in creative thinking, the broader vision of human resource development and excellence as an educator. The concept of King Rama VI to develop human is an international concept that is also relevant to human development in the 21st century. it can be further applied in current human resource development.
