Abstract

              Buzzword is one of the phenomena that shows the relationship between language and society in a way that influences each other. Because buzzword is a term used by people in one region over a certain period, new words will always occur over time. For this reason, buzzword is a reflection of the overall context of society that includes the thoughts, attitudes and behavior of people in one society during a certain period of time..


              This article compiles Chinese buzzword terms relating to love and marriage from the Qing dynasty to the present in order to illustrate the change of mindset, attitude and behavior toward the Chinese love and marriage in each period
