A Model of Participatory Management of Community Justice Networks

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to create a model for participatory management of Community Justice Networks by using mixed methods of quantitative and qualitative researches. The samples used for qualitative research were 35 of academicians of the Ministry of Justice, administrators of the Ministry of the Interior working in Chachoengsao Province, Government agencies under the Ministry of Justice working in Chachoengsao Province, and members of the community justice networks that were obtained by purposive sampling. There samples were included for in-depth interviews and focus-group meetings and the collected data were processed by content analysis. On the other hand, the samples used for the quantitative research were 269 members of community justice networks that were obtained by simple random sampling. The quantitative data  were collected from these participants by using the questionnaire and statistically processed by frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, Pearson’s product moment correlation coefficient, and stepwise multiple regression analysis.The results of this study indicated that creating of the model for participatory management of community justice networks should focus on effective collaboration among the personnel of community justice centers, the volunteers, and the board members of communities, conflict management centers, and Damrongtham Centers  for participatory management of community justice centers, volunteers, and all the persons involving in  supporting the rights of all people to have access to the justice systems easily, conveniently and rapidly.
