A Study of the Work Behaviors According to the Performance Standards of the Teachers' Council of Thailand Among the School Administrators Working under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office 3 Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya province

Abstract

The purposes of this study were to: 1) design and develop the curriculum on garbage and hazardous waste management suitable for the secondary school students and  2) evaluate the application of this curriculum on garbage and hazardous waste management in the classroom of secondary school student's. The development  of  a curriculum on garbage and hazardous waste management was performed by using the questionnaires for collecting data from the samples, including 305 administrators and teachers involved in the Office of Secondary Education Service Area 3. The obtained curriculum was then applied in the secondary school's classroom. The data collection was conducted by in-depth and focus group interviews which involving 18 experts and other associated persons and the obtained data were then evaluated. The overall investigations showed that the developed curriculum on garbage and hazardous waste management for secondary school students consisted of six aspects, including 1) analysis of the content necessity, 2) determination of purposes, 3) analysis of student characteristics, 4) techniques of learning and teaching management, 5) methodology and media selection, and 6) curriculum achievement evaluation. After that, the obtained curriculum on garbage and hazardous waste management in secondary school classroom was applied by focusing  on the process and training in the real context and situations.  The result showed that  the suitability of the curriculum was at a high level.
