The Training Course Development of Learning Management Competency for Assistant Teacher in Collages under the Office of Vocational Commission using Participatory Learning

Abstract

               This research aims to 1) study the needs of learning management through participatory learning for assistant teacher in collages under the office of vocational commission 2) develop a training course of learning management competency for assistant teacher in collages under the office of vocational commission using participatory. The research carried out into 2 phases: phase 1, study the composition of learning management competency for assistant teacher in collages under the office of vocational commission using participatory. Phase 1 has 2 steps there are 1) in-depth interviews from the 9 experts those are specialist executive mentor and assistant teacher. 2) Survey the opinion of 252 assistant teachers from 545 assistant teachers by random sampling. In phase 2, the model of training course was developed. The researcher was develop the training course using participatory method. The development process was done under focus group method from specialist executive academic from the training course and office of the higher education commission. The total samples are 12 people was sampling by purposive sampling. The results showed all competencies about learning management competency is needed (PNImodified > 0.15). The most 3 competencies that assistant teacher need are tools creation and development (PNImodified = 0.25),  measurement and evaluation  (PNImodified = 0.24) and data interpretation (PNImodified = 0.23), repectively. After that the model of training course of Learning Management Competency for Assistant Teacher in Collages under the Office of Vocational Commission Using Participatory was developed. The training course under participate framework was done in both performance competency and behavior competency which all statistical analysis of PNImodified value is less than 0.15.
