วิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1) สำรวจปัญหาการเขียนภาษาอังกฤษของนักศึกษาสาขาวิชาภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อการสื่อสารทางธุรกิจ ชั้นปีที่ 1 คณะมนุษยศาสตร์และสังคมศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏสกลนคร และ 2) หาแนวทางพัฒนาทักษะการเขียนภาษาอังกฤษของนักศึกษาสาขาวิชาภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อการสื่อสารทางธุรกิจ ชั้นปีที่ 1 ผู้วิจัยได้ทำการสำรวจทักษะการเขียนและความคิดเห็นของนักศึกษาจำนวน 38 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยในครั้งนี้ ได้แก่ 1) แบบสอบถามข้อมูลส่วนตัวภาษาอังกฤษ และ 2) แบบเสนอแนะความคิดเห็นเกี่ยวกับแนวทางการพัฒนานักศึกษาสาขาวิชาภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อการสื่อสารทางธุรกิจ ชั้นปีที่ 1 เพื่อนำผลที่ได้ไปเป็นแนวทางในการพัฒนาศักยภาพของนักศึกษาให้มีความรู้ความสามารถในด้านการเขียนภาษาอังกฤษต่อไป
